One of Philadelphia's greatest bagels, and the service goes above and beyond what you would expect from a bagel restaurant.

The bagels are solid and the best in the area. My only compliant is they frequently close without posting it online. Can you please begin updating your Google maps business hours so people don't come when you're closed.

The best bagels in the area by far. Don't even go anywhere else because these are by far the best. Just not the best hours so check hours before heading there.

My family and I get these bagels every Sunday. They have been a staple and still taste just as good as when I was a kid and would stand in line with my dad. They are always hot and fresh right out of the oven and don't let the line scare you those workers inside know how to keep a line going. Wait time is always less than 15-20 minutes

Great bagel and spread. Got the lox cream cheese and it was amazing! Workers were super patient as I was contemplating my order. Really friendly.

This is without question the best bagel bakery in the Philadelphia area. It's the place to go if you're looking to pick up a dozen bagels for brunch - they bake all the traditional varieties - but sometimes I'll just stop in to buy a "flat", a flat bagel drowning in a topping. It's kosher, so closed Saturdays. And it's pure takeout without a hint of seating.

I finally found a place that knows how to make bagels. It is the kind of place where you don't toast the bagel because it actually has the crusty outside and the soft inside. You can ask for well done and Nick the owner (and bagel master) knows you are talking oven time not toaster time. It the kind of place where the cream cheese is what your tastebuds dream about. No little tubs of grocery store cream cheese here. Instead you get the real stuff that is rich and delicious. You can watch Nick slice your bagel and smear with cream cheese. He will add lox, tomato, onion and even cucumber (my fav). He wraps in paper rather than stuffs in a little paper sheath..and hands it to you to take wherever you plan to eat it. My unexpected stop at New York Bagel, spotted as I drove down Haverford, proved to be the absolute best decision I have made when it comes to one of my favorite bites. I know I will be back.

They're definitely in the "might be as good as anything in New York" conversation. They hit all the texture notes for me. Crusty, chewy, just a little sweet. This isn't a chain bagel. You can tell they know what they're doing.
